Pregnant Travellers

International travel should be avoided by pregnant women with underlying medical conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, or a history of complications during previous pregnancies, such as miscarriage or premature labor.

For pregnant women in good health, the second trimester is generally the safest time to go abroad.

Travelling with babies

Babies should be up-to-date on routine childhood immunisations.

When traveling with babies already on solids, be particularly careful about what you allow them to eat and drink as you would do at home.

Pack sun protection for babies, a medical kit, plenty of disposable diapers, cream for diaper rash and doctor's approved oral replacement salts.

If you are breastfeeding, ensure you drink plenty of fluids during the summer months.
